‘Thoughts on War’: a half-day conference at UCL, October 17

The UCL Psychoanalysis Unit is pleased to present a Half-Day conference ‘Thoughts on War’, on Friday 17 October 2014

2014, the year of the hundredth anniversary of the first world war occurs in a contemporary world besieged by conflict. This conference, organised by the Psychoanalysis Unit, considers the omni-presence of war in human life and society. Psychoanalysts and academics will discuss the fundamental place of war in history and offer some approaches to understanding its continuing centrality, psychologically, socially and culturally.
